Banking for the
Anthroposophic Health Movement

A member-owned financial cooperative rooted in Rudolf Steiner's economic insights — serving practitioners, patients, and organizations across North America.

A Living Economy for a Healing Movement

Rudolf Steiner envisioned an economic life where money serves human relationships — where capital flows toward the places where human need and human capacity meet.

Member-Owned

A nonprofit financial cooperative with no shareholders seeking profit. Every member is an owner. Surplus earnings return to the community.

Values-Aligned

Your deposits fund loans within your community — fellow practitioners, Waldorf schools, biodynamic farms, and anthroposophic initiatives.

Federally Insured

USD accounts insured up to $250,000 by NCUA. Full regulatory compliance. Safe, sound, and secure.

Living Currency

Pioneering Anthrobucks — a complementary community currency that embodies Steiner's threefold understanding of money.

Associative Economics

Building relationships between producers, consumers, and mediators. Creating right prices and right economic relationships.

Gift Economy

The Leaven cycle transforms aging currency into gifts for cultural and social initiatives — funding the spirit realm of our community.

your community
Money that lives,
circulates, and transforms

Anthrobucks Accounts

A complementary community currency embodying Steiner's economic insights.

  • Purchase with USD, spend in the network
  • ~2% monthly aging encourages circulation
  • Use at participating practitioners and businesses
  • Direct service exchange between members
  • Aged AB transform into Leaven gift currency
  • Social good organizations receive Leaven gifts
  • Complete the cycle of purchase, loan, and gift

Not federally insured. A complementary currency program administered by the credit union.

Money That Lives, Ages, and Transforms

Steiner described money through three metamorphoses. Anthrobucks bring this imagination to life.

1

Purchase

Buy Anthrobucks with USD. Spend at participating practitioners, schools, and farms.

2

Circulation

AB flow through the community. Services and goods exchanged in living relationships.

3

Aging

~2% monthly aging discourages hoarding. Money must move to serve life.

4

Leaven

Aged AB transform into Leaven — a gift currency for social good organizations.

5

Rebirth

Organizations convert Leaven to AB and spend in the network. The cycle continues.
